I believe that teachers are lifelong learners. At the least, we learn from our students and from each other. Most of us attend conferences to learn from the best in our fields. I go to them myself, and I remember sitting in the room where our presenter said "I teach for five years..." or maybe it was seven, or maybe three - it doesn't matter (it was less than "my number"). What matters is at that moment I realized two things. One, you need to be brave enough to go and present, and teach your colleagues who might have spent more years in a classroom than you. And two: "how long are you going to sit here and not take a responsibility of sharing your knowledge with others?" - that's what I told myself.

That is when I decided to apply to go to a conference as a presenter. My proposal got accepted and I will be presenting at CMC South on November 4th. Am I scared? Worried? No.

I am terrified. There are so many things going through my head... but I also know that I am preparing an exciting presentation and I hope that other teachers will find my presentation useful and implement my strategies in their classes.

So I am embracing my fear and diving into the unknown. And if you are attending CMC South, come say hi!
